Ghana had a very narrow victory of 1-0 over the determined Burkina Faso. The header Dede Ayew on the half-hour mark seemed to be enough to see the Ghana site star through in Luanda.

The Burkina Faso only required a draw to progress. It dealt a blow from the Black Stars after 30 minutes in second half. Then Amadou Tall got dismissed due to elbow on Asamoah Gyan.

The Ghana follows now the Ivory Coast to the last 8 from the 3-team Group B.
