It was a tight match. The Aston Villa and West Ham United ended up without losing or winning. Neither side was able to score a goal though at one point of time in the match Gabriel Agbonlahor had best chance to score but the defence of West Ham held firm in gaining a vital point in their bid for the survival.

This was the game where in fact 3 points carried huge importance to Aston Villa and also to the West Ham.

Extra 4 minutes were given at the end Agbonlahor should have won the match in the 93rd minute. Carew flicked towards him who outmuscled Tomkins but the touch of forward was heavy and also Green did good to make the ball smooth at the feet of the striker.

At the end, draw was a fair result.
