Germany vs Spain match in the second semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2010 at the Moses Mabhida stadium was an interesting one, though it was predicted by Octopus Paul that Germany will lose the game.
The first half of the game was without any goal and Germany still hoped to make the prediction of Octopus Paul turn wrong, but a gaol by Puyol in the 73rd minute made the picture clear of the result.
Xavi’s in-swinging cross hangs in the air for Puyol to power home an unstoppable header into the net! Spain finally have the lead and their dreams of a place in their first ever World Cup final are now well and truly alive.
Uruguay lost to Netherlands by 2-3 in the first semi-finals of FIFA World Cup 2010 at Green Point Stadium. Netherlands scored the first goal in just 18th minute of the game. It was incredible strike by V. Bronckhorst. He arrowed the ball into the top corner from 30 yards.
In the 41st minute Forlan equated the score with his long shot goal. Till Half-Time the score was 1-1.
When the game again resumed after the break, Netherlands made two goals in the 70th and 73rd minute. First Wesley Sneijder scored and then Arjen Robben. The score till the 90th minute was 1-3, but at the 90+2 minute Maximiliano Pereira managed to score one goal for Uruguay.
The two goals of Netherlands were scored by Sneijder in the 84th minute and Robben in the 18th minute. Vittek in the 90th minute scored for Slovakia.
There were too may yellow cards shown in this match. Maarten Stekelenburg (90′) and Arjen Robben (31′) of Netherlands, and Skrtel (85′), Kopunek (72′) and Kucka (40′) of Slovakia.
Slovakia did well in the group stage. Its performance was unexpected. It also defeated defendng champions Italy in the group round.
The three goals scored for Argentina were by Tevez (52′), Higuain (33′) and Tevez (25′). Hernandez of Mexico scored a goal in the 71st minute. There were only one yellow card in the match and that was to the Mexico player Marquez in the 28th minute.
Four years before Mexico gave Argentina a suffered victory. Well, this time the history repeated, but not in a suffered way. With this victory, Argentina enters the Last 8 team list of FIFA World Cup 2010.
Coach Diego Maradona’s is leading his team to one of its best performances. In this World Cup Argentina played three matches and all the matches were a victory for the team with seven goals scored.
The two goals were made by Villa in the 17th and 51st minute respectively. Spain did not got any Yellow Cards but the Honduras were shown twice, Turcios in the 8th minute and Izaguirre in the 38th minute.

The match between Chile and Switzerland was exciting and till the 74th minute there were no goal from either side. In the 75th minute Gonzalez of Chile managed to score one goal for the team. There were too many Yellow Cards shown in the match and most of them were for the Chile players. There was one Red Card shown and it was to Behrami of Switzerland in the 31st minute.
